Vivaldi Web Browser is Available on the Raspberry Pi

Vivaldi is a browser developed with chromium as its base. The latest version of Vivaldi Web Browser supports for Raspberry Pi. And is an experiment for Linux-based ARM devices.

The interface of this browser such as Opera web browser, but has more features. Now, Vivaldi is already used and has a great community.

ARM devices are now gaining in popularity. This may be the reason why Vivaldi builds for Linux ARM. For now this package does not have full support, but it can be used.

Vivaldi is supports for the latest Raspberry Pi models (Zero / 2/3), and another popular device such as ASUS Tinker Board and CubieBoard.

Install Vivaldi on Linux ARM

Simple installation Vivaldi browser on Raspbian, please double-click on the installer files. If using a non-Debian based Linux distribution, try following this steps.

Increase Raspbian swap space:
sudo nano /etc/dphys-swapfile
Change to 2048MB:
CONF_SWAPSIZE=2048
Save the configuration (CTRL+X and hit Enter). Then restart the swap service:
sudo /etc/init.d/dphys-swapfile stop
sudo /etc/init.d/dphys-swapfile start
If using another Linux distribution (non-Debian based), try to extract the contents:
ar p vivaldi-stable_1.13.1008.34-1_armhf.deb data.tar.xz | tar Jx ./opt/vivaldi --strip 2
Then, run Vivaldi browser:
vivaldi/vivaldi&
If you have a ARM device, you can try running Vivaldi Web Browser.
